I just received my new 3 lights and batteries. :)

The MTE SSC P7-C, which seems to work perfectly. But the Spider-Fire SSC P7 and the MTE SF-15 cut off within seconds when on high. If I put them on low they will run seemingly correctly (I only left them on a few minutes but they did not cut off).

I thought it might be the batteries, but even after switching the batteries out, the 2 cut off within seconds (when on high) but the other still seemed to work.

What would cause the LEDs to cut off within seconds of being on high?

I would rather not have to send these back. It took me 3 weeks to get them and who knows how long it would take to get replacements.

Thanks,

If the batteries are protected and the light draws too much current from them, the protection circuit will cut in and turn the power off. This is more likely to happen when they are fresh off the charger as the cell voltage is higher. This is probably what is happening.
