I am pretty close to getting a RRT-0 T5. But before laying out close to £100, I thought it would be sensible to check out what other lights are available.
The huge appeal of the RRT-0 is the range of batteries it will use. I would primarily be using Eneloops but would anticipate also using either RCR123 or 14500's at some stage for the longer run times these would give. (If a 2AA barrel was available that would completely seal the deal for me).
One alternative would be a Fenix HD10 and also get an HD20 2AA body. But the use of 14500 in an HD10 knocks out some of the functions, and, there is a minority view that it can fry the LED I understand?
Can anyone suggest other lights / combos I should be looking at?
I'm not a flashaholic so engineering/ beauty /quality would be more important to me then getting that last 10 lumens.
(Not strictly relevant but I will also be after an AAA light soon, and Im sad enough to want it to be in the same family as this light, the JetBeam doesnt have such a baby but this is not a deal breaker)
