Surefire hardware 2010 observations

Just want to post some observations I have on the Surefire lights I bought this year...

I noticed that the lights do not have the copper-colored coating inside the body tube anymore. I havent bought any lights since 2008 but that particular one did come with it then. I know in a marketing sense they are constantly making their products brighter and more efficient etc etc... And since electrical resistance is a function of the material and the cross-sectional area, maybe it probably doesnt really matter, among other factors such as body designs, thickness etc.

Or does it?

How about in terms of durability?

On the other hand, I like the anti-reflective coating they added onto the glass. (It is like an uncoated tiffen vs a b+w mrc camera filter). I imagine the throwers would be at least a few percent more throwy. The coating is on all the E/C/M series I bought this year, except the G2Xs.

Thanks in advance for your knowledgeable input.
