I recently placed an xpg drop-in in my 6p. I removed the larger spring that sort of snaps on the brass pill so the surefire head seats properly against the body, but the light works intermittently. I give it a tap when the light fails to work, and it'll work. When I leave the spring on, the light works fine. Is there something I can safely wrap around the drop-in or attach to 'seat/connect' it better in the body and lessen the likelihood of a light failure and still have the bezel screw all the way down?
