Converting to LED

Hello, back in the day my pelican saber light was the bomb, now it doesnt hold a candle to my led's. Has anyone or is there a way to convert this light to an led?http://www.pelicanproducts.us/p.Pelican.SabreLite.2000.html

I would save your money and buy and aluminum host... Plastic just can't dissipate the heat generated by these new high powered LEDs... I mean you could mod it with a say.. an XP-G R5 and drive it to 350ma and you could get some great runtime without melting your light...

A good cheap fun place to start is the Elly since almost every type of emitter you can think of comes on a 20mm star and "That Site Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoken" has them back in stock. The easiest to mod light ever... Plus with IMR14500s you could make serious pocket rocket.... Hmmmm...

That gives me an idea... An XM-L U2 Elly pulling 2.8A off an IMR 14500... Runtime wouldn't last very long but should would look impressive for a little light...
