Haven't seen much traffic here on that product, though Streamlight's are generally reliable. Any owners think it's really all that, or is it just a well exposed product (this generation's Maglight so to speak)?

edit: huh, it got bumped down. Anyway, still a top rated product.

This thread may belong in the "Good Deals" thread of the Marketplace; not sure.
I love mine. EDC it over my Surefire LX2 many times. 95% as bright, slightly cooler tint. Thinner profile. Thrower-type beam, but it works for me.

Does this work well with either a 17670 or two R123s?

Price is $40 vs the $80 list.

Looks like a pretty good deal. Anybody have one?

Only downside for me is the 123 battery.

Well Sir, I just ordered a STREAMLIGHT PROTAC "AA" two cell (88033) for thirty five dollars (INcluding shipping). I'll let you know my thoughts on this "AA" model should you be interested.
