The tittle says it all! Please post beam shot of your biggest and highest lumen light. 700+ Lumen is actually good enough to be in this thread. Also please comment on what you think about your big boys. I will post beam shots of the lights below:

M3C4 Single XML, 2*18650
Olight SR91, 6*18650
Maelstrom S12 7A direct Drive Modded, 26650
Big Bruiser Triple XML, 26650
Dry Triple XML 3x18650
Skyray Triple XML, 2*18650
Scorpion V2 Non-Turbo Head, 18650

PLEASE GO AHEAD AND POST YOUR PHOTOS TODAY! :)

Re: The 1000+ Lumen Beamshot Thread

I'll throw in my 2 cents here.

This is a 5 U bin XML maglite. Each emitter driven to around 1.78A. I think it adds up to the 3000 lumen range.

Those trees are probly 80-100 ish yards.

Re: The 1000+ Lumen Beamshot Thread

Sorry about the Flood shot, the 3000+ lumen monster I have has a very wide hot spot. It easily illuminates the 40 ft. of backyard I have plus the 80 ft. of my neighbors. I don't have enough yard to let it stretch its legs.

Overall I do like this light, its just the uses for this type of light are limited to blinding someone, or pulverizing them. The wall of the battery tube must be at least a 1/4" thick! As far as the light output goes it has a very large hot spot and a slightly graduated spill area. It easily lights up everything in front of it. I usually keep it on low (~1000 lumens) which I prefer for many of the challenges I put it up against.

Re: The 1000+ Lumen Beamshot Thread

Oh, I can play this game!

Elektrolumens MC-E-III 4C Mag. This one I've had the longest, and it started my love of Big Mags. It's had the standard tube replaced with one bored for 26mm cells. Instead of 3x18650's it now runs 3x26650 IMR's, and has had a few resistance mods applied. I actually took it a bit too far, and melted some components, which Wayne gracefully repaired for me.

MC-E-III.JPG

Elektrolumens "Wall-of-Fire" Quad P7 Mag. I bought this to mitigate the DT's while the MC-E-III was away for repair. This appears to be a one-off 2C build. Runs off 2 AW C Li-Ions.
Wall%20of%20Fire.JPG

Techjunkie's XX-Ray. I fell in love with this light when I first joined CPF. It was only being constructed at the time. Back then 3500 lumens was just unheard of. I leapt at the chance to buy it when he put it up for sale (although the sales thread sat for 2 months because I was too poor to pay for it). Runs on 4x18650 IMR's

XX-Ray.JPG

ma_sha1's Triple XM-L Yard Sweeper with "Nuke Mode"
. This is a little ripper. Ma is the mad scientist of CPF and his mods always push the boundaries. This has 3 XM-L's driven through a D2flex board from 3x26500 IMR's. High mode runs all three emitters at 2.8A. Nuke mode lets the dogs off the leash and runs as DD, shoving 4.6A into them. Thermal management in Nuke Mode consists of me counting to 20 and turning it off for 5 mins.

MrArtillery built Mag623 with a rocker switch and 4x26500 IMR's. Nice, (comparatively) simple, really really bright. The only incan I have that can stand up to all of the big LED lights.

Stoli67,

That is actually the first beam shot I have seen of Macs 3300L. Looks good, very smooth with a nice round hot spot and even light all the way to the edges.

Cool thread. :twothumbs:

Stoli, I assume the 3300L is the 1100 version in cool white? Very nice...can't wait for mine to get here.

Didn't have time to take a beamshot. But here's something I managed to dig up - my old SR90

It is cool white but I am not sure about 1100 ... I think lumen wise is it not 3300? It is way brighter than m moddo triple and that is 1100 lumens.

The early 3300L's were 1100mAh boards. Mac said he measured ~2500 OTF lumens. The one I'm waiting on is built with 1550mAh boards

Sky Ray 3 x XM-L, about 2000 lumens.

About 1.4 million lux and 9000-10000 lumens. (Actually I can do 2X as bright vs this, but no photos)

Very seriously considering the big bruiser. Have roughly $500 coming my way as a one time bonus. Living VERY rural, and working midnights I'm up late at night and use my lights ALL the time. The Big Bruiser has my interest.

So does that mean a septa and a 3300 are similar output OTF?

Still waiting on the multi mode septas. To arrive!

Great thread! I've got a 3300L on the way. Can't wait to see for myself. It looks like I'll be able to see quite a bit! :)

It would appear so. It's only got 2 more emitters than yours. I'm not sure how the drive level and heatsinking compare though.

Re: The 1000+ Lumen Beamshot Thread

Here are ceiling bounce shots of some of my high power lights. I threw in some weaker lights just so we can see the difference in output. I will add the Big Bruiser and Dry 3*XML as soon as I receive it. I will also head out tonight and do outdoor beam shots.

Observation:
- All of these lights are much brighter in real life, under exposed so everything is not washed out
- The S12 5A is much dimmer than the S12 6.5 although the photos does not distinguish the differences.
- SR91 throws much better than the M3C4 although the photos does not show it.
- Skyray XML throws amazing well for a flood light
- Maelstrom S12 6.5A throws better than Scorpion V2 normal head.
