Hi guys,I ordered a C2 recently and after looking at several P90 LED drop-ins, I have decided on the M61WL.

I think I wouldn't wanna bore out my C2 to fit a 18650 so the other rechargeable option is the 17670.

Looking at the specs sheet of the M61WL, anything below 3.4V would direct drive it. So with a 17670, how much regulated runtime do I get before it goes into direct drive?

Anybody using the same setup?

I got 8 hours on a AW 18650, so maybe a lil less than that?

EDIT: my test was unscientific , so it coulda dropped out of regulation, if it did, it didn't dim much.

gene malkoff could give a more exact answer, but 2 + hours should be close.

The 17670 can supply 1200 m A h, and the m 61 draws 450 m A. The math would indicate almost 3 hours but there are efficiency losses that must be considered.

FWIW, the 18650 has almost 2.5 times the capacity of the 17670 (2900-3000 mA).

My C2 with M61W and 17670 gives me just over 1.5 hrs of regulated light.
My C2 with M61WLL and 17670 gives me just under 7.5 hrs of regulated light.
Your C2 with M61WL (I don't have this one. Don't tell Gene!) and 17670 will give you something in between, my guess being about 3.5 hrs of regulation.

you are correct and I am wrong :(

I missed the L after m 61 w, and that makes a huge difference.

Thanks Shane,just what I needed!

3.5hrs seem kinda reasonable for my uses i.e. outdoors and even walking around home at night.

For longer runtimes,I'll just stick to my Quark MiNi AA.

I guess the 18650 is a better rechargeable option for the longer runtime. If i've spare cash in the future, i might just get another bored C2-HA from Oveready and use the 18650.
