I have seen some great reviews on here and elsewhere of the Xeno range of lights. They look excellent value and I'm keen to get hold of an E03. Problem is I can't find a UK supplier unless anyone on here knows better? I am happy to get one shipped from US or even China but not sure what it would cost and if I would be liable for customs taxes etc. (Sorry if I sound stupid but have never bought anything internationally before!)

The Xeno E03 should cost around £20 at current conversion rates which compares to about £50 for a Nitecore D10 or £45 for a Fenix LD10 here in UK. (I know the quality of the Xeno will be no match for those two, but just to give an idea), so there would be no point in shipping one if it works out double the price after postage and taxes.

Maybe I should just hang on for a UK distributor.....

I have an E03 XM-L NW and I love it. Very good quality, great tint, great beam, no rattle, solid. The switch is solid as well. Works great even off an alkaline. For a $30 light, my family laughs how it outperforms my giant mag light.

Hi Dave I ordered a Xeno cube from Hidlights through the MP and got abused by our customs and royal mail with absurd charges. I would recommend the lights but be aware customs are waiting. Let me know if you find anyone.

Thanks Steven

I am dipping my toe in the water with a supplier recommended by a fellow member - just a small order so if customs get silly they can keep it! I thought there was a limit though - something like if it is worth less than £30 there is no tax to pay? Not sure, I will see how it goes and post my findings.

I believe the amount is about a lot less. £18 is the amount I remember and on a quick search I found this:

So yeah good luck mate. Give me a PM if all goes well might want to give it a shot myself.

Will do. Should have it this time next week God and UK Customs willing!

I wouldn't be so hopeful the US homeland security are checking packages going into the states and I'm not sure if it applies vice versa.

If you buy from the US, you can be subject to custom charges. Anything over £18 on declared value is subject to 20% VAT + 6.5% custom/excise charge + handling (£8 Royal Mail, up to £40 for Fedex/UPS etc).

I'll keep you posted. Oddly enough, I noticed when looking for Xeno on Google I found a post on Flashlightnews from XENOled stating that they 'are keen to work with local partners from UK, Canada, Malaysia, Spain..worldwide..'
I wonder why none of the specialist UK flashlight dealers has taken them up on this yet? They could corner the market!

I don't have any Nitecore, but the quality of my Xeno E03 is as good as or better than any Fenix I've used. Plus, I've had trouble with tints from Fenix, and tints from Xeno (I got an E03 in cool, neutral, and warm) have been just excellent!

Thanks for that shot of the tint comparison... I only have one of the neutrals, but have been contemplating getting a warm one. I really like the tint it has.

Overall I've been very happy with it. A nice little light for the price.
