So at the risk of ruining my precious Ti tail shroud which was difficult to track down I decided to modify it. While I very much like the aesthetics of it I find it difficult to use with out having to bend my finer at a funny angle to get the clicky to click. I decided to cut in a relief into it, since I was at a machine shop today and saw an endmill handy I decided to have at.

I am pretty pleased with the results. It still tail stands just fine and the flame kissed anodizing covers any discoloration.

PS if anyone knows where to find delrin shrouds please let me know.

looking good man.

We're planning on making some more sometime this fall.

We might make some with 2-3 cutouts similar to what you have done.

I can't wait, I'm sure Torchlab's products will look better than mine that ran into the endmill. I have shrouds on almost all of my lights as these little gems are generally 10 watts or better and need some kind of safe guard in place for EDC. I do have to say that flame kissed "anodizing" does wonders for the aesthetics of this tail cap and might be a good offering.
