I am going to be picking up a Spark ST-6 460NW headlamp in the next week. This will be my first X-ML light and the one that has the most lumens. My wife told me that for my birthday in November I can get myself a light from her. My budget will be $200 dollars in the door. MY question is what is the light that has the most impressive output that runs on two cr123's. I don't care if it is flood or throw. I just want the most output light that is at least descent quality for $200. I can't think of a more informed group of people to ask. Thanks guys.

http://https://www.eagletac-usa.com/products/product.aspx?pid=1-17-7009&tb=3 this little guy is pretty cool. Over 300 lumens. I don't own this light....yet, but I will.

http://https://www.eagletac-usa.com/products/product.aspx?pid=1-3-6981 I own this light. It about half of what you want to spend. Very very bright!! Nice flood with a good hot spot.

Can i make a suggestion? From a flashaholic's point of view, With a $200 limit you might think about getting two or even three lights. For around that amount of $ you could could get 2 Surefire's or 2 eagletac's or one of each. a lot of very good quality lights that take 2 123's and have outputs over 500 lumens can be purchased for around or under $100.

I have Quark 123 XPG, JetBeam 3M XPG, Malkoff in my 6D Maglite. A one cell Surefire, had a bigger one that went poof. Some drop-ins for my G2, and quite a few different streamlights. I just want something that when I turn it on, I am going to say WOW and put it back in the drawer.

I just recently purchased this. https://www.eagletac-usa.com/products/product.aspx?pid=1-2-6970 it takes 4 123's, I know you wanted something that takes 2. that's what I do when I turn this light on... Say WOW!!!! I can see well beyond 150-200 yards.

I like the fact it comes with a diffuser. It looks like it has some WOW. I can deal with the four 123's. I just want to make sure I get the most for my money. Thanks for the input.

Sorry about the links not working. Did you get a chance to look at the Eagletac T20C2 XM-L. It also has a diffuser. And in the future it they come out with a LED better than the XM-L you can always buy the drop in . It's customizable. I think that's the best for the $

I like the looks of it. How does the interface work exactly if you want to get to the low mode?

You can either turn the light on in medium or turbo. To get to low start in medium and tighten the head to turbo then loosen within 2sec that will put the light into low mode. Then repeat the process to cycle through strobe, beacon, and SOS. It sound complicated but it's really easy.

Yep. I was a bit worried when I ordered the EagleTac P20A2 MKII and saw the process. It's much easier when you have the flashlight in hand.

I carry a Mac Tri-EDC that has three levels of brightness: 1150/240/24 lumens when running on 2 CR123a and when running on 2 rechargable RCR123's from AW, it puts out 1400/280/28 Lumens. It measures 4 3/4" long and 1" in diameter. Crazy bright for such a small light.

My most impressive 2 x CR123 is actually a Solarforce 3-6V XM-L drop-in... it pulls 2.5A+ off a pair of fresh Surefire primaries - dangerous I know, but hella bright...
