Hi,

I am searching for a light with the following criteria

* robust
* water proof (no dept)
* nicely diffused
* amount of light so enlight objects around 1.5 meter

I created a list of the following candidates.

I would like to have you help with completing the list of names. When the list becomes completer I will add a table with speciation's of it for forum archiving purposes.

I also thought of a regular flash light with a diffuser however that seems not to suite my need complete. However i you have a rely good suggestion please enlighten me

Glo-Toob lithium uses the more common CR123.

There are also Life Gear Glow sticks which is very similar to the Psycho-Stick.

I have/Had 2 of those Krill lights and found them to be quite flawed. Theres like a lip on the bottom (unless they have changed the design since) and as you get the batteries out sometimes they push the lip out which wrecks everything. Stupid design.

They also where not cheap when I got mine.

Perhaps they have fixed them since.

The life gear glow stick is definitely not robust but they are cheap. It is plastic but it does get the job done. It also has a whistle on the end of the tube and can be used as a regular (but not too bright) flashlight by removing the tube.

I prefer the glo-toob lithiums. It is much brighter and more robust. They are also pretty popular on CPF.
