I recently got a a Novatac 120P from the mp, and was told it behaves erratically - sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. If I use a primary, the light turns on, and ramps up and down, and blinks mid-way, and so on (a-la-programming mode). If I use a rechargeable (which is a mm or two longer than the lithium primary), it works fine. Has anyone seen such behavior with a primary battery? Any clue on how to stop it, and get it working normal?
Interestingly length of the battery matters here, and reading cpf tells me that on a Novatac, everything has to be really really tight for the light to operate normally. I have tried elongating the center spring slightly as well, but the behavior on primary remains unaltered. Appreciate your insight, and thanks in advance.
