Complete noob wanting to modify spotlight.

Hi,

I have a spotlight that has been sitting in my closet and was thinking of turning it into an HID.

I have read some threads where people have suggested a 55w H4. Would that be a good bulb to get? I am assuming I can get any bulb of this nature for any car, as long as the cover will come off?

I also wanted to make sure this would even be worthwhile to convert. The spot looks pretty awful.





Also, would the stock battery be able to fire up the HID bulb? Or would I need to buy one.

I know you can find cheap motorcycle hid kits that you would probably be able to retrofit, ddmtuning.com used to offer really good deals. As for the battery you can probably rig up something with RC batteries if you needed to upgrade and wanted a rechargeable... or even a holder for 18650's or larger depending on the amount of room.
