The Olight M3X is the current king of the 2x18650, 4xCR123 format lights. This offering of Sunwayman has nearly identical specs.

Who would win the "King of Throw" crown?

I measured both, at the same distance the T40CS showed as 680 lux and M3X showed as 705 lux. In real life at a distant object like 150m away as well as 400m away, they are pretty much the same side by side, quite difficult to differentiate.

Anybody have beamshots of these two? Or a link? I would really like to see these two beams side by side.
Thanks

I think we all know that the Jetbeam BC40 is the king of throw :sssh:

Only joking, I think the two possible contenders are the Olight M3X and Creelant 7G5. This is for the title of single XM-L production king of throw.

I think it's very close and that there is not a big difference between them.

Tell Hank to pick you out a good one. The first one I had was underdriven. But this other one I exchanged the first one for is my best thrower XM-L.

Because some guys I know that had good ones compared it to their other lights. And their 7G5's were there best XM-L thrower. So I sent mine back to Hank. This one I got in return in my honest opinion will out throw my M3X. It's definately brighter than the first one. And on a wall up close you can tell it's a little brighter than the M3X. It has smaller hotspot than the M3X. I reallly like it.

The photos you showed proved that it was under driver. Comparing the M3X and 7G5. I am glad that you now have a good 7G5 that seems to be comparable to mine, 2100, Selfbuilt etc.

Sorry to go off topic, I cant wait to see how the T40CS performs. ILF you are killing my wallet :)

And just so you guys know I don't think the Sunwayman T40CS is going to out throw the Mx3 or Crelant 7G5. The hotspot is bigger on the T40CS and not as bright.
