Ive just bought a Torch with a surefire e1e body and Valiant concepts/Malkoff M31 head.

Is it safe to use 3v rechargeable cr123 batteries in this?
And can the same 3v rechargeable's be used in a surefire L4?

Cheers
Matt

I don't have one, and haven't tried it, but from what I've read on the M31 "DO NOT USE A SINGLE LITHIUM RECHARGEABLE CELL. YOU WILL DESTROY IT!!! "
Says max 3.3V. Those things go up to 4.2V and will fry it.

No rechargeables! The M31 can only go up to 3.3v. A 3.7v rechargeable will destroy it (as it says in big red letters on Malkoff's website).

Surefire is now selling a 3.2v rechargeable battery, which should be okay for the M31 and the L4, but I haven't heard of anybody actually getting and testing them yet. Otherwise, use 3v lithium primaries.

Ok thanks for the info. I don't have the torch yet, but don't want to fry it.
I was the warning on the Malkoff site about rechargeables, but wasn't sure if it was referring to the 3.7 volt type.
