In "Red Dragon", the Hannibal sequel/prequel, the detective guy goes into one of the victim's houses for a look-see (why he does this at night is anyone's guess...) Anyway, he is sporting what looks very much like a garden variety black Mag 3/4 D. However, it produces a nice, bright, white, extremely even beam (L4ish) with almost no detectable hotspot, even at close range indoors. Things that make ya go, "Hmmm"! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
