Weird mark on surefire

I have a strange mark on my surefire 6p anybody know what it's for?


Edit: its a barcode and using a reader it says the serial number

I think that is a QR code that will open a link to a website. I just bought an E2DL that had a similar sticker but I peeled it off before I thought to scan it and see what it linked to. There are a bunch of iphone and Android apps that you can use to scan those codes (if that is what it is)

That's a data matrix code, essentially a 2D barcode.

As to what it actually says, I don't know. I know there are apps and so on for reading QR codes, but I haven't looked around for readers for data matrix codes.

:eek: Was just contacted by surefire I have a rare prototype containing secret information!!!!!!

































:D Just kidding I scanned it with one of those phone barcode reader things and it is the serial number.... sorry for those (myself included) who wanted to hear it was something cool
