E series switch help

I changed my sf e series tailcap to a e2d scalloped one. Problem is it causes flickering when activated. Is this tailcap/switch compatible with a e1 series light. How do I change the switch to a mclicky one? Links are welcome but this is driving me nuts. Can someone please help?

Yes, it should be compatible / interchangeable ....

You might want to give SF Customer Service a call, before considering aftermarket modifications or solutions (like a McClicky) -
