I have an Arc AAA were the battery leaked on the negative battery connection and I can't seem to get it to come off. What can I use to break up the junk that leaked out of the battery? I tried scraping it out but it didn't work.

Try some automotive break cleaner - worked pretty well for me. I filled the barrel with that stuff and let it work for about 15 minutes... Afterwards I took a q-tip and used some metal polish to bring back the shiny aluminum.

Baking soda and water. Fill the tube, but a thumb over the end and shake well. Leave sit for a few minutes, empty, rinse and repeat as needed.

Just don't scrub with rough stuff, the chemokote may come off.
Thanks for the input everyone! I tried most of what was suggested and I got it to work although I didn't get all of the biggest clump of crud off.
