310M-EX into a new Mag?

Newbie here. I have a TerraLUX TLE-310M-EX unit which I'd like to put into a Mag 4D. If I end up with the new Mag with the 2-pin light, is this doable? What mods would need to be made to the Mag? I do have an older 3D Mag that I could switch out the insides from if needed.

I'm kinda new to this and need some input.

In the new Mags with bi-pin bulbs, there is a plastic socket that is the same diameter as the old pr2 bulb base. This adaptor is held in by the old retaining ring just like a pr2 bulb, so the TerraLux drop-in should work fine. I have a Malkoff XML2 drop-in that I put in a new Mag. It works fine.
