After trying to move a P60 sized drop in from my 6P host to a L2M and having it not fit properly without foil and springs and a magnet I decided to look for a better way to solve the problem.

From what I can see with the lens off, in the Solarforce host there is a gap with the bezel fully tightened, between the front lip of the drop in, and the lip with inner dimension D1 in this picture:

If I could find a spacer or a washer to sit on this lip then I believe this host would work the same as my Surefire host and not need any extra springs or magnets. I know you can use the large spring on the back side to press the drop-in against the bezel lip, but I'd much rather press the drop in tight against the host instead. It looks like the spacer would need an outer diameter about 1.06" and inner diameter of 0.95" to match the existing lip. I'm not sure how thick it needs to be, but I suppose if I could find some kinds of spacers I could always stack them..

Anyone tried going this route with their P60 lights?
