Another fine mess, aka how the heck did that get screwed up?

Everyone makes mistakes, some are more -impressive-, than others.

I bought my friend a Streamlight ProTac 2AAA as a gift. Unfortunately it came out of the package cross threaded so badly that when we finally got it to unscrew most of the threads came off with the switch! I had a good retailer who exchanged it with no hassles so no big deal really, but I have to say that I was honestly impressed because I can't figure out how the hell anyone managed to fully screw that end cap on and have it look normal when it was cross-threaded to such an extreme.

I guess it was either a powerful machine, or Streamlight hires some really husky workers with phenomenal hand-strength

In the cold, dark, reaches of the north.
Aluminum is suprisingly easy to cross thread like that, especially when anodized.

Getting it in is easy, when you unscrew the threads that get pulled off bind bewteen the cap and body making it much more difficult to remove.
