For a long time I wanted to build a flashlight that will run from single 18650 using
1. bin1 cyan luxeon rebel reflowed on 20mm Al sinkpad star.
2. 8degree LEDIL optic (21mm dia), which IMO gives a very nice round beam with little artifact and no side-spill.
I also want decent heatsinking and plan to run the rebel at 700mA, by using linear drivers.
The problem is, I don't know a host that'll support these components, since most DIY lights (Convoy M/C series) are reflector based. Any suggestions for the host?
