Also Fenix TK35-UE. I too love the tint, probably better than any of my other lights. Might be a little big for using as EDC but it's still a hell of a torch.

The latest version of the Malkoff Wildcat is an MT-G2. Also not exactly an EDC. I don't know about a list of them, but we seem to have started one here.

Infamous? LOL I mean... I guess it's new, but not infamous. It's kind of like the xm-l when it was first released, but I hear it was developed more for fixed lighting applications specifically.

2015 is definitely going to be the year where you start seeing tons of lights using it though. It's a huge emitter and requires a boat load of juice. While we're seeing huge multi-MT-G2 lights already I'm personally more excited to see it used in pretty small lights or lights with really big reflectors.

Personally, I'm hoping Fenix eventually drops one into the TK61. It is a perfect platform already for an MT-G2. Good weight for heat sinking, 4 18650's for high power, and that sweet sweet reflector. It would lose the crazy pencil thin beam, but probably would still throw just as far though sheer output. TK61 UE. Make it happen Fenix.

For EDC get the upcoming Fenix PD40. You'd have to get a 26650 or two and charger, but 1600 lumens from a light that big? Insane. It literally it only a bit bigger than a TK11/TK09(12) which is nuts.

I wonder if the MT-G2 can be dedomed like the XM-L2 possibly improving the throw for these type of lights?

It's always cool to see how much smaller the led actually is than when it has a dome optic on it. Look at the Olight M2X-UT. LOL the emitter looks so tiny, but it's an xm-l2 :)

And it looks like the MT-G2 has been dedomed: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...)-dedome-and-dome-on-review-RUNTIME-BEAMSHOTS

and also here, but it looks like it can get a bit messy lol (surprisingly it still worked sort of): http://budgetlightforum.com/node/22987?page=1

It looks like you can't really dedome an MT-G2 as easily or maybe even with the same effect as you can xm-ls and xp-gs.

I guess just to try? Yeah it's not pretty... I'd just get a stock light with no mods using it. If you want to throw the MT-G2 get a huge reflector (again, TK61).
