In fact, artificial light can disorient mosquitos and prevent them from moving smoothly. So, mosquitos are not attracted to or repelled by light—it is a neutral force that helps them move about but does not draw them closer or further away. Some people use ultraviolent light, purportedly to kill mosquitoes.

Same experience. You'll need a good hat with mosquito netting, and a headlamp you can put outside of the netting. Really the only pragmatic solution.

in my experience no, any light i used had no effect on them. they are attracted to heat and co2 we exhale.
agree completely
hat with mosquito netting
agree
it also helps Not to use White or Green light.. use a light w a Red LED. For exmple the Skilhunt H200, save $9 w coupon code Xmas12off (not affiliated)

but Red light wont mask C02 and body heat, and nothing beats a mosquito net. Smoking helps mask the C02, but you have to smoke constantly. ;-)
