I've seen this done before, and it seems like a fun project.
After getting some blue trits in, it was just a matter of carefully positioning the optic and using a drill press to drill a 1/16" (.0625" or 1.59 mm) hole. The bottom of the hole is right at where the leg rebates to fit into the MPCB. Was really difficult to drill right down the center of these legs, and one path kind of came out the side of the leg a little bit. A drop of Norland 61 holds them all in place now.

So it is possible, but not very fun while doing it. The end result isn't too bad though. I've got blue glow tape around the legs of the optic, and a blue glow o-ring. The o-ring is blue, but it does appear greenish in this photo. Seems I'm partial to glowy blue stuff...

Very nice. What length trits did you use? I am about to try this too. I keep seeing them, and love it. I have the glow on my Carclo, but NEED some atomic glow!
