outdoor security light, is an emitter of this size common now?

I was browsing an UK retails website called Maplin when i came across this security outdoor floodlight, with an supposedly a single 30watt emitter, I have not checked out emitters that are available these day`s but i was shocked at the size, though to most of you is this commonplace.

But i could imagine fitting this in a flashlight :naughty:

I'm betting that is a COB type LED and they do make flashlights with COB LEDs in them look up Larry COB LED and NEBO LED. The COB type LED is more of a flood light type used in inspection and work lighting. The SLYDE type lights are pretty nice but expensive. I'm not sure how efficient COB type LEDs are.
