I'm building an underwater green light for fishing, where I will spiral wrap a flexible 5050 or 5630 green strip around a pipe, then enclose and the entire thing in a clear pipe.
My question is, do I need to wrap the strip around an aluminum pipe as a heat sink? Will it even do any good being totally enclosed? It's not like the heat will have any fresh air to dissipate into. Will the clear outer pipe being submerged make it cool enough?
