New to Forum, Not to Modding, Question??

Hi. I just joined this forum. I have been building and modding for about 4 years, on and off. I have recently been working on a project, but I'm a little stumped. I wanted to build a flashlight with a dimmer knob. I had ordered a potentiometer a little while ago because I thought that is what I needed to do it. Also have a single mode 100% Nanjg AK-A1 1.4A driver. Not sure if this all I need or what to do next. Anyone have any suggestions? If this post is in the wrong section, I apologize.
