LEDs are red, make my skin look brand new, so let's build a facemask, youll help too

Greetings folks, was recommended to drop by here by a friend in the know as I'm interested in using the power of LEDs to create a facial mask that helps rejuvenate the skin. The products themselves come in two variants, one is a cheapo style from the East and the other is professional level devices.

The price difference is astronomical and I thought I might as well see if its possible to build my own as I've spun a soldering iron around before :) What I'm looking at making is something like this:



A flexible mat that I can drape over my face, filled with red LEDs with 660nm output, hooked up to a circuit to help oscillate the light and maybe at a later date add in more LEDs across other parts of the spectrum.

Thus far I've mainly researched the red spectrum but the rest of the colours also show promise, especially when use in combination. Has anyone on here made anything like this before or used LEDs for cosmetic rejuvenation?

Now a quick and dirty idea I just had was instead of using individual LEDs and having to solder them to something flexible etc.. and all of the issues involved could I just use SMD tape lights?
