PowerStream\'s in a MagCharger?

I've been trying to find out if anyone had successfully run the 3.8Ah version of the PowerStream 1/2D batteries through a charge cycle on the stock MagCharger charging base yet. There seemed to be some uncertainty on whether or not it would work reliably.

Moderators - just realized this might have belonged in the Battery forum...??

I doubt anyone's run the PS 1/2D nimhs, period, since they're subject to a 100-piece minimum order. I've not seen a GB for these cells.

There are 3.5Ah nimh cells in play, however.

Just talked to Mark at PowerStream. Apparently, they want a 500 piece minimum order for the NiMH cells. Also, their factory wants to stop making the 1/2D's all together......

Well that sucks. That's $2,000 for batteries for 100 MagChargers.

Maybe Kevin at Batterystation can figure out another source or maybe even help out in a 500 cell group buy.

Well, if they want to sooner or later they will. Question is when? I'm glad I bought an extra set of 1/2 D's.
