Want to remove clip. the rear cap will not budge when turned to the left. Something I am missing? Thanks

This is crazy. It will not budge. I put a screwdriver through the ring and turned and still did not budge! I do not want to take wrenches to it. Any ideas?

Okay, broke a wrench on it! amazingly light not damaged. quit while I'm ahead.

Use these suggestions at your own risk.

Penetrating oil and/or heat. Like a hairdryer directed primarily at the tailcap. If you really want to escalate, soak tail end overnight in penetrating oil, put it in the freezer for a half hour or so, then hit it with the hairdryer on the tail cap.

Or call Surefire. But where's the fun in that?:D

Good luck!

Thanks. I am a sissy surefire RMA. Although I am impressed how tight it is on there. Eh, I am not sure I will carry this now anyhow. Didn't before. The issue is it runs about 1.5min on l91 before no light or 20 lumens. Enloop better but not much. I think this is one of the few sf botched.
