Been awhile. I'm moving out some lights that I purchased over the years. This is the first one...

The Darkzero mod was only a driver swap the light retains the original CREE emitter that McGizmo was using in the day. Maybe a CREE XR-E in this light?
This light is from the transition years when not everything was specifically designed for Li-Ion power. I've only used 123 cells in this light. If you buy it...

Reconstructing the mod timeline with the help of Darkzero, the exact mod was performed on 1/17/2009 .

Any additional details (and/or link) to the "mod" ? Was this simply a current boost to the main LED ? Were there any emitter swaps ?

I wish I could find the message exchange re: the Darkzero mod. It was a current boost to the main LED but I don't remember if there was a emitter swap also. I'm messaging Darkzero to see if he can remember what the setup was on on the LunaSol 27.

Thanks for the link to the FAQ.

Remembering the original 425ma driver, this 1000ma driver is a lot brighter! You also still get the nightlight, 18ma to the outer ring of LED are a nice "walking around stuff" wide beam too. It really is a special light

After thinking about the CPF marketplace rules, I decided that I need to re-structure the way I was planning to sell out my stock of lights. This light will be back, in a different thread that incorporates ALL my Ti/exotic lights in one ad/thread.

So sorry for any confusion this might cause, but that's what I need to do in order to get 'er done.
