I have owned two PB2 units in the past that both failed in under two years. The first one stopped charging my phone after charging for about 2 seconds. It would just stop and act like it wasn't plugged in. The second one recently stopped working too though differently. This one also won't charge but has a burning smell and the LED numbers are flashing chaotically. I am afraid to even try to use it as a battery charger. I tried different batteries and cords all of which work fine in other applications.
I really love these things when they work and want another one. Do these newer ones have different/upgraded circuitry? They display more information than the old ones which only showed relative battery charge percentage and weren't very accurate at that.
I also see that there is a PB2C also and I am not sure the difference.
