The 9v battery in one of the many gadgets I own died today ... so I took it appart (it was a Varta "Universal" Alkaline). Inside surprise ... 6 AAAA (I think, it's the first time I see AAAA). Ok, now what ? Let's see if I can power my ARC AAA with it ! Too short - I can use a spacer - a screw will do. BRIGHT ! It's still quite bright after 150 min (1.15 V without load) ! Free light.
And the best part: the 9V cell was dead already ! Ok, only one cell is dead (just checked) - but still, it's free light. And the cell was about to expire anyway, I guess this makes it 5+ year old, isn't it ?
So remember - if you need it you _might_ be able to feed your arc with a 9V battery.
