Infinity Ultra problem

I have an 18 month old (+/-) CMG Infinity Ultra that doesn't seem to be working properly. When I screw it on, it lights up, but there is only a small sweet spot where it will stay on. If I screw it a little more, it shuts off. I have cleaned the contacts and the threads. I ran a test by holding the head contact against the positive battery post and one end of a paper clip to the negative post and the other to the head's threads. It lights up, but if I put some pressure that forces the battery and the head together, it shuts off. Release the pressure and it turns back on.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might fix it? I think I recall seeing a post here a couple of years ago on how to disassemble the original Infinity, but I thought CMG had updated the head on the Ultra.

I'd say just send it in for repair/replacement.

My family has had several Infinities/Ultras over the years. Other than losing them I have only had 1 problem. I sent it in and they replaced it no questions. CMG had great service I hope Gerber will maintain it.
