Who rides a beachcruiser?

Some years ago I was close to getting one of the Schwinn beach cruisers - I didn't and about half a year later they were discontinued.
Last weekend I saw one of the long streched lowrider Schwinn bikes around here in the city and visited a website of a local dealer. This made me think how many do realy ride these bikes as every-day-bikes? While they are cool items I wouldn't dare to use them around the city during the night, I doubt one would last more than half an hour before it gets a new 'owner'. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I have the Schwinn 7 speed cruiser. Absolutely love it. I think they make a 4 speed too which I'm sure is fine but I like the higher gearing of the 7 speed.

For riding around the beach or around town it is a great bike. I ride mine at night and use a Kryptonite lock without a problem.
