Copper reflector for color balance

I know this sounds kind of weird, but has anyone tried reflecting a white Luxeon off of copper? Under the original beam of my XM-2, my hand looks morbidly pale. When I bounce the beam off of a polished copper heatsink, my hand comes back to life! If a Recoil-type copper reflector were used in a flashlight, all the light would be reflected off of the copper. Is there any way for someone to check the color balance of this proposed adjustment?

A somewhat better choice of material for "warming" the color of a white Luxeon is a gold reflector. Averaged over the visual spectrum, gold actually has a better reflectivity than polished Nickel. It is also immune from tarnishing.
