Why is the Pelican 2020 Sabrelite light dimmer then the Pelican 8020 M8? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif

I changed the title, I think people got confused with the old title.
Sorry about that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/oops.gif

The beam of the M8 is significantly smaller than the beam of the SabreLite. A side-by-side comparison of them verified this. The M8's smaller beam would automatically make it appear brighter than the SabreLite.

Let's see if I can get a photograph of both beams together...BBS...

Thanks a ton LED Museum.
The photo that you took, The M8 looks whiter then the 2020 is that because of the of the smaller beam?

Thanks again /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

The M8 does have a whiter (a cooler white) beam than the SabreLite. It's not because the M8 has a smaller (tighter) beam; it's most likely because of a bin color difference between the LEDs used in the two flashlights.

I do not know the LED color bins of each flashlight, sorry about that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif
The LEDs are removed from their star MCPCBs, so I couldn't know even if I broke the flashlights and looked.
