I just chopped a couple of uncoated Hex bolts, filed nubs out of the ends and wrapped them in electrical tape. Is this going to pose a problem with 3-4 amps running through them? It seems to work fine for the moment.

I use 5/8" wood dowels cut to the proper length, wraped length wise with two layers of aluminum foil, then use electrical tape around the middle. Not sure how much they will handle, but so far they work.

I bet yours could handle a huge amount of amperage. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would think 100A would start to run a bit warm, but up to that, you should be fine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great. It looks goofy but it gets the job done. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

the aluminum foil trick is probably good for 10-20A.. measure the voltage drop under load and you can calculate the resistance... it should be less than .1 ohm for sure, which you basically get with just about every contact point.
