How easy, or should I say how difficult, would it be to add a regulation circuit to an M6? Having found (at flashlightreviews.com) that using Pila 168S batteries decreases throw by about 37% (down from 37.6 to 23.688) and overall output by 28% (down from 20.5 to 14.76), I'm hoping on an easy regulation mod. I'm willing to settle on the lower numbers to cut down on battery purchases, but I would love to keep the original output with the 168S as does the surefire L4.

Also, would it be safe to assume that any regulated 2x123a LED light would be unaffected by using 168S batteries over standard 123's?

Because of the lower voltage, not all regulation circuits will work. Most flashlights have probably been tested by at least one CPF member, so a search will bring up the answer for most lights.

Pelican M6: Kevin of Batterystation is currently accepting preorders for a regulated version of the M6 LED with a LuxIII and HA-III.
