Tried to open my 2AAA Nuwai...

I figured everything would go smoothly as it did with the
QII. I boiled it a few times until the head loosened. I
decided to do the same to my 2AAA just to take a look for
curiositys sake. Well, curiosity killed the light. It never
occured to me that the reflector in this Nuwai was plastic, the QII's is metal. I boiled mine for about 2 minutes and the result.......

Now I have a reflector shaped like an egg.

Now I will have to buy a new one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

try to fit a IMS 17MM reflector... i think it can enter in the head. you can also try to change the led with a luxeon /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif

also you can try with a minimag AAA or jil-cr2 reflector

Maybe you could save the LED and circuit and sell it to one of the modders. It should run very well with a single 123A cell and a good reflector.
