Since Quickbeam has not yet reviewed the E2L yet does anyone know what Surefire means when it says 3 hours high output followed by 3 hours usable light? I know the light is rated for 30 lumens but just what can one expect after that? Also is the light (or for that matter the E1L) regulated? And one further question, has anyone used either model yet? I am very curious if it has good sidespill or not. Thanks

There are several threads discussing the E1L and E2L already. Here are a few:

E1L and E2L Outdoorsman
I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?)

The KL1 head is regulated, so "3 hours high output followed by 3 hours usable light" would imply that it runs in regulation for 3 hours then it drops down to direct drive and produces 3 more hours of 'usable light'. The KL1 uses a TIR optic which produces good throw but minimal sidespill.
