E1l or L1 in real world throw?

Ok, as far as throw, is there a noticeable or real world difference between the new L1 and the E1l? Just looking for a new light and both these can be had for under for under a hundred. I really love my third generation L1 with a red led, however, I need (at least that is what I tell my wife) a light like it in a white led. By the way, I like me some throw so I know I will like both of these.

My 3 KL-1's newest 4th gen) all out throw my L1 handly. even out threw the 2x123 model.VDG

Which generation L1 do you have ?
My L1, which is the latest, has
great throw. It even has better
throw than the L2, as per
FlashlightReview.com.

My bad thought this was a inova t1. still I know the KL-1
is supposed to be about equal with a L1 from reading here. Think 15 mentioned it's a KL-1 optic's and LED on it. should be about the same, but I could be wrong. VDG

Don't worry, I will get a 3w drop in for my G2. However, the L1 is perfect size for pocket or neck, and the E1l even looks to be a better fit for neck wear.

Im sure the 3-Watt drop-in does not have near the throw as the new Kl3.... Anyone have any figures.
