This is one of the fatman driven lights offered a while ago by Icarus. It is in a purple Mag 2C body modified with a fatman driver with a potentiometer just above the stock switch. It can run anywhere from about .5 watts up to about 9 watts. The three Luxeons are TWOJ binned, and they are set behind IMS 20mm reflectors and a UCL lens. The light can run off of two Pila 150A batteries or 3 123a batteries and includes the appropriate battery carriage. I will also include a Pila charger and (2) 150A batteries. The body of the light looks new except for the knurling which is starting to show some wear.

I am asking $225 shipped in the US. Paypal accepted (non-CC preferred). *SOLD*

Hi guys, it's this light, made by me. Taking into account two Pila's and the charger are included it's a great deal! :)

What would the approximate lux rating be on the highest?

Re: FS: Tri-LuxIII dimmable mag 2C

I have one of these so let me give you a biased opinion. I can not tell you what the max lux is, no meter. I have two HIDs, Arco X990 and a ufokillerz/waterfish mag-mod, both of these are brighter.

Now why I like it, it's bright and adjustable the HID's are not adjustable. Using my thumb I can feel the position of the dimmer and know the brightness and change it BEFORE I turn it on. The same can be said for my Surefire U2.

As an emergency light it can be hard to beat. Dimable to extend battery life, it runs on three CR123A's, two Pila 150A's, two unprotected 18650's using Modamag's kit, and two standard C-cell's you do not get full brightness, but you still get 50%+ which is way brighter than a regular 2-cell maglight.

Yep, I am guessing it is. just look at the orange peel-iness of it. boosts the throw by about 1000 lux doesnt it?

Re: FS: Tri-LuxIII dimmable mag 2C

The McR20 gives a brighter hot spot and a bit more throw.
Some time ago I compared both kind of reflectors in the same Tri-Lux.

IMS SO20XA reflectors: 300-6200 Lux.
McR20 reflectors: 300-7140 Lux.

I really don't understand why this isn't sold yet. :bump:
