Hello I am looking for a mouted wepons light and I have a few questions about two SF models. First I have noticed the B is a five watt LED and the A is a three watt. But the A has a special lens to focus the beam, unfourtunatly leaving a halo though. The B is more what I'm looking for but would like to know how bright it is and if it would be comparible to the beam throw and flood of a ED2. My friend has a ED2 so you can base that as a point of referance for me to judge. The main point of the light is to identify my family from the bad guy, so spill is important, hence the B model, but would like to have the guy in the deer-in-a-head-light postion if possible. Could anybody help me? :thanks: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=45#

IIRC the B is more like a L4 and is recommended for closer distances, CQB/building clearing comes to mind.

The E2D throws further, particularly the newer ones, but L4 is still a lot of light and will light up a room nicely.
