LED Christmas Lights Safety Warning

I was looking at purchasing some LED lights to add to my house and there is a safety warning on the box about not combining with mini lights. My existing lights are all mini icicle lights and rope lights and I would like to add some new LED's to the end of the string in series is this safe or do they need to be seperate?

Also can anyone direct me to a schematic of a string of LED Christmas lights? Just curious

My guess is the wiring on the LED lights is of a smaller guage because of the lower power consumption. They should work fine at the end of the strings you have but may not have large enough wire to support the heavier current usage of incan lights en masse.
