How much are my NHL Hockey cards worth today?

I stopped collecting about ten years ago.
I have alot of cards of Wayne Gretzky and Peter Forsberg. Some that are pretty rare IIRC. I would really like to get an estimate on how much they are worth out on the "market", IF the have any value what so ever, that is.
I get the feeling that I should find out how much they are worth before something happends to them.

Anyone have any ideas?

The best way to do so is to search ebay and watch few auctions for the aces in your collection. Watch 3-4 auctions for the same card and average it out. If you want to sell time would be Friday after thanksgiving which is an official start time for Christmas shopping.

I did the same with books and WW2 antiques and prices where pretty much in the middle of values quoted by collectors catalogs.
