it depends on the size of my return but the t21vn and tn42vn for sure! vinh might as well start making them now XÞ

I had the x65vn in my sights for a while but I get this feeling I need to be a bit careful with my spending these next 2 months.

IFFFF I get another bump in my returns due to my schooling, then the x65vn is definitely getting a click :)

I want to recommend you buy a GOAT with your tax return.. GOAT = greatest of all time.. in this case, i am talking about fenix tk75vnq70... i realized you have tm16gtvn, x7vn....

How does it work for you guys, this tax return thing. Presume annual and every Feb or March? Is it for self employed etc or anyone paying tax. Here in UK we pay income tax and national insurance(latter is supposed to go/pay towards NHS etc and pension...............). Works out roughly 25%-30% in total(rough) unless you earn over a set amount then you pay 40% tax over that amount. Sure its changed now from 2017 and the 40% is from £32K a year................(used to be in the £40k's+ ).
Yep, there is withholding from every paycheck that goes to the government. After the end of the year, we have to true up. For some people, the withholding was more than they actually owed (based on tax bracket and deductions), so those people get a refund back. For other unfortunate souls, when the math is done, they learn they owe more and have to write a check.

To avoid the latter nasty surprise, we can set a higher withholding amount with our employers. Self employed people have to make estimated tax payments throughout the year typically.

Now what are the deductions that reduce taxable income (and thus the total tax bill)? Well, there are lots of things that the government incentives this way. Student loan interest, home mortgage interest, daycare expenses, health care expenses, donations to charity, etc.

At the end of the day, forms must be available Jan 31 and tax paperwork must be filed by April 15 (except when extensions are filed) for the previous year. Many people get refunds in the hundreds or thousands of dollars back from the government. Some lower income people actually get more back than they paid in, but for most people they are simply getting back what they overpaid through the year out of caution (and giving the government a no interest loan in the process).

The tax code is complex so most people either buy software or hire a professional to do their tax calculations, fill out the right forms, etc.

That's it in a nutshell!

Thanks Bdm for that run down, always wondered how it worked your side. Me being employed simply goes off my annual salary, this is calculated over the year and comes out of my wage before i get it monthly............So not had any returns:mecry:but then again i would have had to pay more in, so no win either way for me . Would be nice for a little lump some though, kind of like an interest free saving in a way it seems. Well for those who have over paid anyway.

I'll try to explain it ven. If you were a good boy or girl you get money back. If you were a bad boy or girl you have to pay. Unless of course you were a bad boy or girl and lie/cheat, in which case you also get money back. However you can also be a good boy or girl and simply take it up the you know what for whatever reason, and as a result, pay. So it can be simple or complicated but you usually have choices. The last day to send your file in is April 15 so come midnight April 15, you don't want to be anywhere near a post office. Unless of course you haven't filed.

Can someone recommend me some good batteries for the TK61vn V4?

its my first VN light where Vinh says to only use quality protected cells. (No unprotected).

thanks.

I could just tell you but I feel it would be better for you if you pick out your favorite yourself.

Here is the link you're looking for... should only take you a couple of minutes.

Yep especially if you just got it today. Change in humidity and climate can do it. Airing out the battery carrier and or repeated heat cycles typically fixes.

I wouldnt touch the reflector, maybe the lense but you invite the possibility of dust or smudges on it. Just give it a few days to acclimate to the environment. If your in a big rush stick it in a bag of rice overnight with the tailcap partially opened to let moisture escape.
